MANE-TAINED
Mane-Tained was started in her salon suite by Tera nearly ten years ago. Growing from one to three chairs, she’s always been a go-getter. After feeling frustrated with mandates in 2020, Tera decided it was time to venture out into her own brick and mortar location and share her expertise and love of the beauty industry with like-minded, growing stylists. Creating a sense of community with talented stylists was her vision. She recruited her sister, Dana, to help bring her vision to fruition and thus in 2021 began the journey to bring a fresh piece of Tulum-inspiration into bustling, urban Costa Mesa.
Tera is a veteran in the hair industry actively seeking out new techniques and trends that best suit her clients. She specializes in extensions and blondes and is a Platform Artist + Regional Educator with IBE © Method. She is constantly driven forward in her supplementary education as well as mentoring fellow artists in the salon.
The satisfaction Tera receives from giving a client their dream hair and the confidence she helps create with extensions fuels her daily to grow her expertise in the art of extensions and her wealth of knowledge in the hair industry.
She believes that when you sit in her chair it should be a transforming and uplifting experience. Her attention to detail and high standards of quality have set the pace for all the stylists at Mane-Tained to ensure they are also seeking excellence from behind the chair.
When she is not turning hair dreams into reality, she spends time with her daughter, Hudsyn and two pups. Red wine, fitness classes and trips to Mexico are her weakness.
Although Dana is not a stylist, she has a strong background in hospitality and operations. Providing an inviting visit for clients that ends in a beautiful hair experience and helping blossoming stylists develop their business potential in the hair industry is something she has a knack for.
When not bouncing back and forth from the salon to her other business in La Habra, Dana is usually taxiing around her two kids or sneaking in time hanging upside down training as an aerialist.
